South Hill

Located just south of Forest Hill and east of Casa Loma, the neighbourhood known as South Hill or “The Hill” lies south of St. Clair between Spadina and Avenue Road.

This prestigious area has some of the largest homes in the city. Architecture and atmosphere are similar to the neighbouring Casa Loma area; the beautiful location and stunning view on Avenue Road. The Hill attracted some of Toronto's most affluent citizens in the mid to late 1800’s. Most of the older homes in the neighbourhood were built between 1890 and 1920. A number of townhouses, condominiums and luxury rental buildings have been added in the last 20 years.

Residents of the Hill are just a few minutes away from several upscale shopping areas including Yorkville and Forest Hill Village. Recreational opportunities abound in Nordheimer Ravine, which has great walking trails and picnic spots, and in Sir Winston Churchill Park, where you'll find a playground, jogging path and tennis courts.

The area has good access to public transportation; the Avenue Road bus and the St. Clair streetcar go directly to the subway. Yonge, Avenue Road and Bathurst offer drivers access to highways and the downtown core.
